Zeno Renewables Announces Sponsorship of Two-Time World Champion Speed Skater Hayden Mayeur

Zeno Sponsors Hayden Mayeur

Calgary, AlbertaZeno Renewables, the leading and most awarded solar solutions provider, is proud to announce its sponsorship of Hayden Mayeur, a two-time World Champion Medalist and a member of the Canadian Senior National Speedskating Team. This partnership underscores Zeno’s commitment to the sports community and its dedication to fostering a sustainable future.

Hayden Mayeur, who grew up in Toronto playing hockey before transitioning to speed skating after watching the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, has achieved remarkable success in his career. Having brought home numerous ISU World Cup, Four Continents Championship, and World Championship medals, Hayden’s ultimate goal is to qualify for a spot on the 2026 Olympic Team. His dedication to excellence and his forward-thinking approach aligns perfectly with Zeno’s mission to install solar solutions on one million homes by 2040.

“I was looking for sponsors that not only support me, but also stand behind what they do as a business,” said Mayeur. “The culture and goals of Zeno align with my own. I’m excited to go off-grid and build a tiny home with solar solutions provided by Zeno. Their commitment to conserving the planet through their services and dedication to the community is something I deeply resonate with.”

Hayden’s commitment to the community is a driving force behind his athletic career. He dedicates his life to amateur sports and uses his platform to give back. One of his major initiatives is partnering with the Alberta Children’s Hospital, where he founded an event called Skate for Kids,  raising just shy of $20,000 last year for the expansion of the paediatric mental health unit. Hayden also volunteers with KidSport, an organization that Zeno supports in making sports accessible for kids and fostering the next generation of leaders and healthier communities.

Gursh Bal and Kai Fahrion, co-Founders of Zeno, first met Hayden at a networking event. They were immediately impressed by his dedication to his sport and his community. “Hayden’s commitment to excellence and his vision for a sustainable future align perfectly with our goals at Zeno,” said Fahrion. “We are thrilled to support him on his journey to the 2026 Olympics.”

Bal added, “At Zeno, we believe in the power of sports to inspire and unite communities. Hayden’s efforts to support mental health initiatives and make sports accessible to all children resonate with our values. We are proud to stand behind him as he strives for Olympic glory.”

Hayden also embodies Zeno’s values of sustainability in his personal life. He is building a tiny home that will be completely off-grid, powered by solar panels installed with the support of Zeno Renewables. This project reflects his dedication to reducing his environmental footprint and living in harmony with nature, principles that are at the core of Zeno’s mission.

This partnership highlights Zeno’s dedication to the sports community and its broader mission of sustainability. By supporting athletes like Hayden, Zeno not only promotes a healthy and active lifestyle but also emphasizes the importance of community and environmental stewardship.
