Every year, Zeno Renewables joins forces with local organizations, residents, and businesses for #CITYCLEANUP, a day dedicated to making our communities brighter, cleaner, and more connected. What began as a small, local effort has grown into a much-anticipated annual tradition that proves when people come together, even small acts can make a lasting difference.
The #CITYCLEANUP is about more than just picking up litter. It is a chance to protect our environment, strengthen community pride, and inspire others to make sustainable choices every day. For us, it is also about showing that sustainability starts right where we live and that everyone has a role to play in building a healthier future.
Each year, a strong group of committed volunteers comes out to help, from local families and business owners to students and community groups. Together, we remove significant amounts of waste from streets, parks, and green spaces, waste that might otherwise end up polluting our waterways and damaging ecosystems. The impact is not only in the numbers. It is in the conversations between neighbours, the smiles from passersby, and the pride that comes from working side by side to improve the place we all call home.
When cleanup day arrives, the Zeno team shows up ready to make a difference. You will see us in our bright Zeno gear, making it easy for people to spot us. Our tent becomes a hub of activity, with volunteers signing in, picking up supplies, and learning more about how solar energy can power a cleaner future. Our team jumps in wherever needed, hauling bags, sorting recyclables, handing out coffee, or simply chatting with community members. For us, it is one of the best days of the year because it is hands-on, high-energy, and rooted in giving back.
