VP of Finance
As the VP Finance for Zeno Renewables Inc., the VP will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. Reporting directly to our Co-CEO’s, you will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure the company’s financial health, and drive sound decision-making to support our financial future and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to drive business planning and forecasting processes (e.g., budgeting, expansion forecasting and scenario planning).
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into business performance and trends.
- Create, review and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to drive informed decisions
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, taxation and reporting requirements.
Operational Efficiency and Scalability:
- Drive process improvements to ensure financial systems and operations can scale efficiently.
- Implement robust internal controls to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Optimize financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.
- Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members.
Governance:
- Support the Company in development of and compliance with Policies, both Board and Operational levels.
- Ensure staff are appropriately aware of the policies
- Management liaison, along with the COO, to the Board of Directors and its Committees
Strategic Partnerships:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and business development efforts.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, investors, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- CPA designation or equivalent professional qualification.
- Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive in rapidly growing organizations.
- 10+ years of experience

- Experience navigating the financial challenges and opportunities associated with high-growth environments.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving financial success.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to influence decisions at the executive level.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
- Thorough understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
- Experience with Capital Markets, raising funds to support high-growth company, or division is an advantage
